The holidays can put you in a daze with all the holiday craze going on. There's the stress of making sure you get just the right gift, that your house is in order, that you have the food prep ready...and then there might be certain family members you normally avoid, but during family get-togethers you have to deal with them.
Wouldn't it be awesome to have fun during the holidays without all of the stress or anger, angst, and anxiety that accompanies them?
Oftentimes, the anger, angst, stress, and anxiety stem from some other issue that you may not realize is there. You know how a pebble thrown in water creates much bigger ripples? So too do events that happen in your life that you may not even be aware of. Even your past lives can come forward, creating problems in your current life. In the meantime, here's a tip for starting your day before you even get up: While lying in bed, place your arms at your sides, palms facing toward you, with your thumbs touching your forefingers. Focus on your upper chest area, and see the light within you. Spread that light throughout your chest, up into your head, down your torso, and into your legs. Now spread that light outside of you, so that it encircles you and protects you. Call to the elements - air, fire, water, earth, and spirit - and ask them to stay with you all day, that the air will blow away any negativity, the fire will burn away any negative cords, the water will wash you clean, the earth will keep you grounded, and spirit will keep your vibration high and loving. Think of ten things you're grateful for and love, and focus on the emotions of gratitude and love. Tell yourself that today is going to be a great day and that no one can take that from you. Even if you do receive bad news, turn it around and look at it from an angle of gratefulness.
